Component of this platform is a modest application that links the Farmers products to the immediate market. Having gathered data on the yields it is thus easy to engage the farmers/groups in finding immediate markets.
Demand Aggregation
This component is aimed at providing a platform to strengthen Products, Machinery and services distribution through Farmer Service Centres (FSCs). The platform facilitates aggregation of inputs and other products, the channel provides a real-time end to end data collection and transfer to all the players within the value chain, the platform is integrated with a Mobile Money transfer /payment gateway to provide cashless payments throughout the Value Chain.
How it works
- Registered farmers (KilimoData) will deliver their produce to a registered collection center within their locality. This exercise will be done in collaboration with Grosso Foods who are actively present in Lushoto in Tanga region.
- The KilimoUjazo App will then be used to capture the type of produce, the quantity and the grading of the produce to determine the price.
- The produce having been received at a cool house will then be packaged and ready for distribution in Dar es Salaam. The farmer will then receive a goods received note and payment done within 24 hours after produce receipt.
- Vendor orders will be place their orders through the Genge Mobile app, USSD or through the call center, thereafter delivery will be done to the specific Genge’s.
- The Platform wil lcapture all the records and inventory for every transaction
Demand Aggregation
This component is aimed at providing a platform to strengthen Products, Machineries and services distribution through Village Based Agricultural Advisors (VBAA’s).
The platform facilitates aggregation of inputs and other products, a request is sent to the distributors to disseminate the orders to the farmers through the VBAA’s/Agro dealers
The channel provides a real-time end to end data collection and transfer to all the players within the value chain, the platform is integrated with Mobile Money transfer to provide Cashless payments throughout the value Chain.

Provision of capacity building to farmers and farmer groups, on latest trends and technology, entrepreneurship among other tailored relevant topics
